“All I got for Christmas is this stupid duck. And they won’t even let me play with it.”
“But I’ll only destroy it a little! I’ll just rip off one wing. I promise!”

Gizmo used to have a duck like that…note I said “used to” …That poor duck didn’t stand a chance…But just look at that face…Shiva would never do that BOL!

How do you start the process? Do you go for the limbs first, or start by pulling out the hair?

Shiva, First you need to get your mum to make some Orange Sauce….:)
And you said she’s not much of a thinker – look at her in that second picture – she’s thinking so hard I can almost see the smoke coming out of her ears.
She’s so adorable.
I don’t know when it happened but Bella has given up destroying her stuffies. She’ll still tear off and ear or a limb but her de-stuffing days seem to be waning. May Shiva someday grow out of it as well.

Ha!! I had that duck too and promptly destroyed it the day I received it! It’s history! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

Ours always go for the beaks first
OMG. You have no idea how much I am laughing right now.
I got Daisy the Hartz Hedgehog for Christmas (to replace her old Woobie that I ran over with the lawn mower). Where is it right now? Sotting on a high shelf on the entertainment center. Why? Because both Cupcake and Jasper have already stolen it from Daisy with the intent of tearing it apart. LOL!
I am so sorry Shiva. Hope mom and dad let you have that duck soon. At least they know you would tear it up. Daisy would not, but she has siblings who will.

Shiva, wonderfully expressive photos but, like Justus, stuffies just don’t last with you, no matter what you promise. Have a Happy New Year with or without your duck

Our sweet (and destructive!) angel Abby had a duck just like that. She stole it out of the box of toys being donated to adoption dogs at her oncologist’s office! So embarrassing, but of course they insisted she keep it. She destroyed it within a couple of days!
Shiva looks so sweet with her duck – and I’m believing that promise of hers!

What’s the point of giving you something you can’t play with? Duh. If you keep up with that tragic look though, I’m sure they’ll relent soon.
Happy new year Kristine, PH, Shiva and Cat! Next year, I resolve to learn the names of the cats in the blogs I follow LOL X

This sounds just like our household! I always like the soft toys, they are so cute…and I think Maybe this time they’ll be “nice” w/it..NOPE still wrong, they ruin them
Cali had a duck like that and the squeaker only lasted 5 minutes
Hope you have your way with that duck soon Shiva!!!

I really liked your pictures of Shiva getting ready to attack her duck. And then asking why can’t I, just a little??

I’m sure they will change their minds, Shiva!

Looking cute with the duck! Kelly’s toys didn’t make it more than three minutes after she opened them! And Brooks wouldn’t pay attention to any but the tennis balls. Happy New Year to you.

I can relate to this post. I have to put away squeaky, fuzzy toys a lot so they don’t get trashed too soon. The good thing about that? The excitement they provide when you bring them out again.
Oh my gosh, the second picture and caption is perfect, she looks so cute!
We got our dogs a stocking of toys for Christmas, they ripped all the felt off one of balls leaving a giant mess on the living room carpet for us to come home to.. Toy destruction is inevitable.
My mother in law bought this same duck for her Wire hair for Christmas, He loves it.
Ha! Destruction is Shiva’s middle name, yet you were even allowed to take these pictures. She is so thoughtful

Have a Happy New Year !

Consider yourself lucky Shiva. Some of us don’t even do dog gifts. I know, I know, the horror.
P.S. I LOVE the expression on your face in that second photo!
I’ve already got one of my toys on the shelf to be fixed!!
I am certain you would do more than rip off one little wing!
