2013 is living up to its unlucky number. It’s been one bully of a month and it’s not over yet. Posting here has been sporadic and half-hearted at best and I apologize sincerely for that. The last thing I want is to turn this place into a vacuum for my selfish whining. Annoyingly, all I feel like doing is indulging in a childish tantrum. So to preserve what modicum of respect you may have for me, I’ve been pretty silent.
You deserve better. This blog deserves better. I’ve never been very good at pretending to be something I’m not. I think one of the best things I have to offer is my authentic truth. It just sucks when said truth isn’t very motivating. Or entertaining.
Instead of penning one more self-indulgent post that no one should read, I am working hard to channel my inner Shiva. After an altercation or stressful situation, she runs in a circle, shakes herself off, and then gets back in the game. I’d like to do the same. Consider this ramble my version of running around with my head cut off.

Here’s the thing. Ever since BarkWorld I’ve had this gift card for Petco that I can’t use. You see, there are no Petco’s in Canada. It’s a downer for sure. I’ve been hanging on to it anyway in hopes of staging an awesome giveaway. From the looks of things, that’s not going to happen. I’m sorry you’re still feeling poorly. Does Shiva give you grief or is she a cuddle up in bed with you kind of girl? I’m lucky that Bella will sacrifice all sorts of play-time when I am sick or injured (and to be fair that’s pretty often.
I love the idea of the give-away and the ‘requirement’. I will have to give it some thought but will definitely find a full-of-cute video for you soon.

Canine Nutcracker!
This year has been crappy for me too. Stuff keeps breaking down and needing replacement, people being unreasonable, that kind of thing. I have a favorite local pet store so I’m not entering, but I really hope the year gets better for you. My team is in the Super Bowl next month so February is going to start a better month for me. Unless, of course, they lose.

Thank you for keeping up with the blog. And hopefully you’ll step by in mine. Although, I don’t update it as frequently as you and it’s not even a pet blog, not yet. I don’t have a furry friend yet but I hope I will have this year or maybe next.
There isn’t Petco in Finland either so I can’t take part in the giveaway but I wish all the luck to others who are participating.

Well this hardly seems fair given all the dog videos I post every Friday.
I totally get the whole not wanting to blog if it isn’t of value thing. I was there last year quite a bit. This year I seem to have a lot to say. Go figure.
