R.O.A.R. Squad

The day has come. I knew when I signed up this would be a possibility. But I didn’t know it would happen so soon. How does one prepare for something like this?

We have officially been drafted.

That’s right, as of today, we are official members of Fido & Wino’s elite R.O.A.R. Squad.

Yeeeee haaaaaw!! (That there, that’s me showing off my Alberta roots.)

Our official post can be found here. Of course you’ll be wanting to read it immediately.

For this honour, I want to take a moment to thank the little people. The man who carried Shiva all the way to the SPCA, my wonderful landlords for letting us get a dog in the first place, and my neighbours for not calling the police too many times while Shiva dealt with her separation anxiety. Thank you all, so much, for making this day possible. Tears!

But seriously. Shauna at Fido & Wino has done an amazing job putting all of this together. Blogging is hard work, and blogging such a serious and important project is even harder work. So I want to thank and congratulate her for taking the time to recognise the wonderful animals, and people, that make up the rescue community.

If you want to help make her job easier, she is still recruiting for new members! Check out the super easy way to join here! If you do, I’ll name Shiva’s next trick after you. Who could turn down a reward like that?

  1. WOOOOOOOOOT!

That’s me showing off my BC-gal style 😉

Thank you for mentioning the R.O.A.R. Squad and THANK YOU so much for taking part! Shiva is gorgeous and you guys are fabulous for providing her with such a rockin’ home.

I really do think we are making a difference here- the more people know about the importance of rescue and see how DANG SEXY WE ALL ARE they more they will jump up to join in the fun.

Thank you again! I look forward to learning about Shiva’s new trick!

  2. Congratulations on joining the R.O.A.R. squad!! And I am highly impressed by your training skills – I loved the video of Shiva doing the jump and turn around trick!

From your comment on my blog…I’d love it if you’d e-mail and let me know how you went from Shiva biting the target stick to looking at it/treat to actually touching it without biting. I think there are a few steps in the middle I’m missing, but Ziggy is highly food motivated so I’d love to give it a try! 🙂
