All the Cool Kids Are Wearing JACA

I’m not normally interested in product reviews but ever since I read about Jus Animalium Cultue Apparel (JACA) in Melissa and David’s R.O.A.R. Squad post, I have been in love with their concept. And their clothing. Since we learned last week how incredibly stylish I am, you should adore them too.

Just hangin' with the Sheevs in my super-comfy JACA shirt

All JACA t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton that is grown with the intent to have as little environmental impact as possible. The production system they use is fully sustainable and helping to build a biologically diverse agriculture. What’s more, the t-shirts are decorated in the United States, so you know they are ethically produced.

If the rockin’ styles and the commitment to the environment don’t impress you, perhaps this next part will. The founders of JACA created the company in support of the American animal shelter. Their central motivation is to help educate the public in areas of pet care, pet responsibility, and respect for companion animals. Like myself, they are shocked at how many animals are in shelters and want to spread a positive message about pet adoption.

This is JACA’s central message, taken from the website’s about page:

Jus Animalium Culture Apparel is a message created to remind you that you can express
and reward yourself through what you wear.

A reminder that you share our planet with so many others and you have a choice to limit your impact on the world’s systems so that our future generations can experience the wonderful world that sustains us… a reminder that respect for our planet’s animals is an extreme necessity for natural balance.

The rewards of creating a brand, a culture, a fashionable label should include preserving our planet in the process and if it changes minds and life for the better, then it is that much more fulfilling.

Society, human culture and the elements do not allow
us to go bare, so stand with us.

Will you help us grow and be a part of change?

Every month, the people at JACA choose a worthwhile animal cause to support. 10% of every purchase goes toward helping animals in need. From March 1 to April 30 the proceeds will be going to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, an organization dedicated to finding homes for the wonderful older dogs that end up in shelters and on the euthanasia lists.

Now that you too have fallen in love with this amazing company, let me tempt you with another one of their great shirts.

Isn’t this lovely? An animal shirt that is also stylish! The design was inspired by a “king that helped change the way”. Read all about King Lobo here.

Understandably, I just couldn’t keep this all to myself any longer. Check back here tomorrow to find out how you can win a JACA shirt of your very own!

  1. It is always nice to support environmentally friendly groups, especially those who do good for animals! I’llhave to go check their clothes out.

  2. And you’ve just demonstrated the power of a product review. It’s always best when someone talks about something they really believe in and support themselves.

Cool company. People combining their ethics and their passions with an entrepreneurial urge is the best of capitalism.

  3. We love their stuff too! We had them as a guest blogger on our site a little over a week ago. Not only do they support a great cause, but they are such nice people too!

  4. Ooooo…this is SO super wonderful! But, uh, (and don’t tell her I said this) but, well, my mom’s not really very cool. She’s awfully nice and gives good skritches and I luvs her oodles but she’s not terribly cool. Do you think it would still be okay for her to wear one of those shirts?

    Wiggles & Wags,

    • Mayzie, your mom is totally cool enough! She adopted you, didn’t she? That makes her pretty awesome as far as I am concerned. She has excellent taste (and impressive patience! ;-))

  5. Great photo!

Thanks so much for the mention! I totally agree, JACA is great!

I am going to have a contest with one of their tshirts soon… stay tuned! 🙂
