Red and Green Challenge, Day Thirteen

Santa needs some help with his dry-cleaning this year. We offered to pitch in. Naturally, I keep forgetting to take it with me before I head out the door.

Shiva’s tail is awesome but at times its constant wagging can really ruin an otherwise decent photo! Not that I’d have it any other way.

    • Shiva is a jumper too, so I know what you mean. We have two separate cues, one for two paws up and one for all four. We call the two paws only one “step” and we taught it back in early obedience when working on rear-end awareness exercises with a foot stool. Eventually she learned how to generalize and will “step” on pretty much anything!

Though, she was actually reluctant to do it on the railing for the photo. It may be because the floors are a little slippery. With a few liver treats in hand, I was able to convince her. πŸ˜‰

  1. I have the same problem with Sadie. Once she knows I’m looking at her, the tail starts going. I’ve resorted to doing mostly head shots with her since I can’t get a non-blurry tail!
