Yay for Good Things!

This morning I have many happy bits of news to report.

– The best news first. Do you remember this pretty girl? I featured her during less adoptable pet week.

Last week, lovely Bella was finally adopted! After months and months she finally found her forever home. I was so thrilled when I read the news. Hopefully she and her new family are having a blast getting to know each other.

– The numbers are in from Life+Dog Magazine. IAMS committed to donating 100 meals per photo entered in Friday’s photo contest. As a result, in one day, 87,000 meals were donated to their Home for the Holidays Campaign! It’s all thanks to everyone who participated. I am so grateful to everyone here who joined in!

– The fun doesn’t end here. It is also time to announce the winner of my “New Things” Giveaway!

*drumroll*

After running the comments through Random.org, I have determined the winner is….

Houndstooth of Tails and Tales!

Here is her winning activity: As far as trying new things goes, I’m still trying to live with the savage puppy beast!  I’ve also tried glass painting this week at work since the kids are painting glass ornaments for their parents as Christmas gifts.  I had to try it for myself!

Awesome stuff. For her efforts in glass painting, she will receive a copy of Through a Dog’s Eyes by Jennifer Arnold. Many thanks to everyone else who joined in the fun. I hope you had a great time challenging yourself to try something different.

  1. Hi Kristine, thanks for the update. I realize that it’s not very likely but I sure wish all the animals that wanted a forever home could get one by Christmas. Hope all is well on your side of the country. We’re supposed to get 5cm of snow tomorrow afternoon in the higher areas and out into the Valley. I like snow. I like making tracks in fresh snow 🙂

  2. So happy that Bella now has a home. She’s such a gorgeous dog … can’t imagine why it took her so long to find one. I can’t remember hearing about her before, so maybe she had some behavioral challenges that were making her less adoptable? Either way, congrats to Bella!
