Time for a Little Bit of Fluff

Keeping it breezy and light today, I have two videos I want to share with you. You may have seen them already or you may be like me and only hear about the latest viral video three months after it is old news. I still don’t get the honey badger references people keep making.

The first one I saw on the local news this morning. I’ve always had a deep affection for elephants. They appear to be such kind and contemplative animals. Though they look nothing like us, there is something distinctly human-like about their eyes. Not that I would ever offend such a magnificent species by comparing them to us. They are far better than we will ever be. Regardless, even knowing elephants have more capacity for intelligence than anyone could possibly be aware, this video still amazes me. I’ve watched it several times and I am still unsure if I believe it is for real.

What do you think?

This second video I also saw on the news but I think it was last week. One of our local morning show hosts loves to show cute little animal videos (it’s my current goal to get a video of Shiva on her show – think it’ll happen?). Most of them are pretty forgettable but the one below made me laugh out loud. Perhaps because I can see my own aquaphobic puppy doing something very similar. Replace the ball with a piece of kibble and you have Shiva.

Happy Day Before Friday!

Don’t forget to join in my Blogiversary Scavenger Hunt! You only have a few more days to get your entries in!

  1. That dog video looked very familiar. I saw the exact same posture from Honey yesterday when she was trying to reach a piece of stinky dog food way at the back of the bike cart.

I can’t wait to read the news that a Shiva video has made it on your local news program. Let’s hope it’s a cute trick video and not the security camera posted near the Tim Horton’s drive through. 🙂

  2. Pretty crazy elephant video, I am with you in wondering if it is real.

Luna likes the water but one time at a pool swim she actually laid down at edge of pool and extended her paw out into the water and moved the toy to herself with waves of the paw. Hard to describe but I think you know what I mean. She is too clever in how she uses her paws sometimes, I don’t know why she even chooses to live with me.

  4. LOVE the elephant video!! I totally think it’s real – I loved how happy and dance-y he/she looked at the end . ..too cute!!

Cali is the same way about swimming pools – NO WAY she’s going in, but she’ll stretch as far as she can to get the ball 🙂 Can’t wait to see what video you get on the show!! I KNOW it will happen!

  5. Hi Kristine, I think that the elephant video is real. Why not? Dog and ball in water. Ah, the human should have helped the doggie get the ball. Dog video of Shiva on the show? Hmm…how about you and Shiva doing synchronized 360 roll on the floor. Yup, I like that one 🙂

  6. Loved the elephant video – yes, I think it’s real – they are too smart :). Very, very cute. The dog was ok; his frustration bugged me but am waiting for Shiva’s debut.
