As it is Petfinder’s Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, I am taking a minute every day in June to showcase some of the cats looking for new families. Originally, I was just going to share the story of one cat each day, but I kind of dropped the ball and missed the first ten days of the month. To make up for my unforgivable lapse (no wonder The Cat sees me as his consolation human) I will be featuring two cats every day.
The first cutie I want to celebrate today is the ever so adoptable Kenzi at the New Hampshire Humane Society in Laconia.
How breathtaking are her eyes? Am I right?
Kenzi is a senior cat who is a total sweetheart. She was picked up as a stray and is just looking for a quiet home she can call her own. It’s hard to imagine this lovely lady roaming on her own.
And then there is Timmy, who is also a senior, but he is relaxing at the Nova Scotia SPCA shelter in Dartmouth.
According to his profile, Timmy is nine years old and was brought to the shelter by an older couple who could no longer care for him. He likes other dogs, doesn’t mind children, and wants nothing more than to hang out with his human friends. If you’re looking for a cool dude who knows how to chill, Timmy is your man.
These are just two of the over 145,000 cats posted on Petfinder.com looking for homes. If you have room in your house for a kitty, or if you’d just like to help spread the cat love, why not stop by?
