Went to Bed. Took the Dog.

The below pictures of Shiva are exactly how I am feeling this week. I may have escaped the flu but apparently no one gets out of winter without at least one ass-kicking by a virus.

Suffice it to say, it’s going to be quiet around here while I try to climb out of my hole. Dr. Shiva isn’t much help.

She has prescribed thrice-daily romps in the snow along with no less than ten tugging sessions.

I like my plan of green tea, escape literature, and violin concertos.

We’ll see who wins.

  1. Oh no, so sorry to hear. Still trying to pull myself out of it as well – it is not fun.

Dr. Bella prescribes lots of rest, cuddling, fluids, more cuddling and those concertos you have queued up. Hang in there.

  2. You have a wonderful prescription for how to get over what ails you. If it doesn’t work out for today, schedule it for another day when you just feel like a good book and violin concertos – and maybe some wine.

  3. Oh no! Hope you feel better soon! Shiva is simply adorable under the blankie! My Titan will lay on em but don’t dare cover him up. He spazzes out! 🙂

  4. Feel better! I think your prescription might work for you just a tad better than Shiva’s! I had the flu/virus/whatever on top of a sinus infection and ear infection recently and it took 10 days to start feeling human again. I hope yours departs much quicker.

  6. Aww I hope you feel better soon! I caught an icky one too between Christmas and New Years. It seems like no one has escaped this year, no matter where you live in North America. But I’m glad the Shivster was there to keep you company! Aren’t dog snuggles the best when you’re sick? They don’t demand conversation or anything, they just give comfort. 🙂
